Don't. Stop. Praying.

DON'T STOP PRAYING

“Don’t. Stop. Praying.” These are the words that my 8 year old daughter wrote on the mirror this week. This was the scripture that she wanted to be reminded of and so she wrote it on the bathroom mirror.

1 Thes 5:16-18 says, “Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

What a great reminder for us…to REJOICE ALWAYS, to PRAY CONTINUALLY, and to GIVE THANKS IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES, for this is God’s will for us in Christ Jesus.

God wants us to come to Him for everything – not just in a crisis. He wants our fellowship throughout the day. He wants us to seek Him from the small every day mundane tasks to the heavy burdens that are on our hearts. I want to encourage you today to NEVER STOP PRAYING. God hears your prayers and He will answer them according to His will and in His precious time. Don’t give up because you think that your prayers are not being heard.

James 5:16 says, “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”

There is power in prayer and just because we can’t always see things happening in the natural, we can TRUST that God is working behind the scenes and doing things in the spiritual realm. Put your faith in God today and trust Him to move on your behalf. Remember, your faith pleases God (Heb 11:6).

Matthew 17:20 says, “Jesus told them, "I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it would move. Nothing would be impossible."

When you pray, pray in faith and believe that God can do the impossible. Don’t doubt because James 1:6-7 says, “the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.”

Are you doubting or are you trusting God today? Are you focusing on how big your problems are or are you focusing on how BIG your God is? Spend some time alone with God rejoicing, praying, and giving thanks no matter what your circumstances may look like. Start thanking God in advance for working on your behalf. Stand on His promises for whatever area of your life that you are needing prayers for. Give thanks for all that He is and all that He has done for you. AND….Don’t. Stop. Praying!

God Bless, Amber Cunningham
