"JACKED"


"JACKED" Have you ever seen muscles like this before? They are physically "JACKED". You get muscles like this by exercising them daily and feeding your body with nutritious foods and supplements. Most of us spend time taking care of our bodies with daily exercise. But what about our mind and spirit? We are a 3 part being - we ARE a spirit, we HAVE a soul (mind, will, and emotions), and we LIVE in... a body. Most of us spend 30-60 minutes exercising our bodies each day. Can you say that you spend that much time in praise/worship, reading/studying the Word, and in prayer/meditation? I don't know about you but I want to be SPIRITUALLY "JACKED". If we are a spirit living in a body, don't you think that we need to be feeding our spirit and exercising it even more than we do our physical bodies? There are some people that only work their physical bodies and neglect their mind and spirit. They may look good on the outside but inside, they are empty. Each one of us has a God-shaped hole in our hearts that no amount of physical exercise will ever fill. The only person that can fill that hole is God Himself! When we only exercise our bodies and neglect the rest, we are out of balance and will have no peace, no joy, and bear no fruit. After all, Jesus said in John 15:5, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." I want to encourage you to take time each day to exercise not only your body, but also your mind and spirit. When you start feeding your spirit with the Word of God, you will hunger for more. Matthew 5:6 says, "When you hunger and thirst for righteousness, you will be filled." I challenge you to hunger for God, to spend time exercising your spiritual muscles, and to become "JACKED" spiritually!
